A large ants nest can be an impressive find.
A forest full of interesting things to discover, here are a few to look out for.
On fine days in spring and summer the butterflies and insects are out in force exploring the wild flowers and vegetation. Dried out animal tracks can reveal deer, wild boar and squirrel movements to name a few of the animals that live in the forest. If you are lucky you may come across a European glass lizard or grass snake sneaking across a pathway or forest track.
Tracks in the snow where do they go?
